MUSICAL THEATRE DEPARTMENT
Our musical theatre department provides tailored experiences for aspiring talents, whether they’re already active in the musical theatre world or brand new to it. With specialized vocal private lessons, small-to-medium group ensemble opportunities through our “Encore” program, and full-scale musical theatre productions, we offer a comprehensive approach to nurturing performers. Additionally, we offer audition preparation sessions to equip students with the skills and confidence needed to excel in auditions for musicals outside of DAMPA.

Do you love the magic of broadway music, yet are drawn to the charm of NPR’s Tiny Desk concerts or The Coffee House radio station?
Ever want to be part of a fun, creative group of singer-songwriters AND fierce musical theatre vocalists? If so, DAMPA is proud to announce our brand new, first-of-its-kind, musical theatre ensemble, Encore! In this incredible new performance series, we will be reimagining select songs from your favorite contemporary musicals to create a stripped-down, vocal performance focused version of the show.
Encore will launch its inaugural season with the exciting acoustic series, ‘Unplugged,’ featuring the music of Six The Musical!
