DETAILS
Welcome to SIX: Teen Edition, a high-level, two-week musical theatre production intensive produced by Dallas Academy of Music & Performing Arts in partnership with Emerge Coalition.
This program is built for performers who are already active in musical theatre and are ready to take on a fast-paced, focused rehearsal process. We have come up with creative casting to ensure that all who apply will get great opportunities, including the double casting of some queens, male identified role options, and more!
In just two weeks, students will move from auditions and casting through full staging, musical integration, and performance with a live band —mirroring an accelerated professional production timeline.
SIX: Teen Edition at DAMPA is designed for performers who want to challenge themselves, work at a higher level, and be part of a polished, high-impact production—delivered on an accelerated timeline.
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
Rehearsals
Monday through Friday, 10:00am - 3:00pm from July 13th through 17th with tech week the following extending hours.
Performances
July 24th, 25th, 26th
Please bring a lunch. We have a refrigerator available for use! Water is provided on-site.
PRICING
Full two-week musical rate: $699
Audition deposit: $99. This deposit will be applied to the total tuition fee if the student accepts their role and participates in the production. If the student decides not to accept the role, the deposit will not be refunded.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If a student pays the full tuition amount and subsequently needs to withdraw from the production for any reason, a prorated portion of the tuition (not including the audition deposit) will be issued as an account credit. This credit can be applied toward future classes, lessons, or productions at Dallas Academy of Music & Performing Arts. The prorated amount will be calculated based on the number of rehearsals and time spent in the program prior to withdrawal.
