DAMPA is thrilled to bring the hit broadway musical Footloose! to the stage! Performances will take place January 8-10, 2026 at the professional black box theatre Cox Playhouse in Dallas, Texas.

When Ren McCormack moves from the city to a small town where dancing has been banned, he inspires his classmates to challenge tradition and rediscover the joy of music, movement, and self-expression. This 90-minute Concord Theatricals adaptation brings all the energy of the Broadway favorite to the stage, with unforgettable songs like “Holding Out for a Hero” and “Let’s Hear It for the Boy.”

Designed for students ages 10 and up who are ready for advanced musical theatre training, this program offers the opportunity to work intensively with professional directors, choreographers, and music faculty. From mastering complex choreography and vocal precision to developing ensemble discipline and character depth, participants gain the skills and stage experience required at the highest levels of performance.

This season, DAMPA is proud to elevate the production value even further – rehearsals will be held at Artsillery, and the final performance will take place at the professional black box theatre Cox Playhouse, giving students the chance to perform in a true theatrical environment with professional-grade staging.
