Odalys Mendez is a South Dallas born and raised musician and began her piano career at the age of 9. She attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where she immersed herself in classical piano performance. Since graduating from Texas Woman’s University with her Bachelor’s of Arts in Music, Ody focused on early childhood music education for 4 years through the Gymboree Play & Music curriculum. She has also developed & implemented her own curriculum in various daycares, specializing in teaching toddlers and young school age children the bsics and fun that music has to offer through games, dancing, and singing songs.
