Odalys Mendez is a South Dallas born and raised musician and began her piano career at the age of 9. She attended Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where she immersed herself in classical piano performance. Since graduating from Texas Woman’s University with her Bachelor’s of Arts in Music, Ody immersed herself with alternative methods of inspiring children through music with methods such as music therapy, piano pedagogy, and music and movement classes. Ody adores to perform with a variety of ensembles and genres such as choral music to wind symphonies to jazz with the Texas Jazz Express.
