Musical Theatre Training, All Year Long.

Musical Theatre training at DAMPA doesn't stop when the curtain closes.

Students can study Voice for Musical Theatre year-round through weekly 30, 45 or 60-minute private lessons & group ensembles, building the vocal technique, musicianship, acting and performance skills they'll use in auditions, rehearsals and productions.

More Than Putting on a Show.

At DAMPA, musical theatre education goes beyond learning songs, blocking and choreography.

Students learn what it takes to build a production from the ground up—from auditions and rehearsals to music, staging, technical elements and performance. Our goal is to develop thoughtful, capable performers who understand the entire creative process and become stronger collaborators wherever theatre takes them next.

NEW TO MUSICAL THEATRE?

Ody Mendez, Caleb Dean, and Sam Cormier

Supportive, engaging teachers who are fantastic introductions to singing, acting and musical theatre for developing performers.

AUDITION PREP

Walk Into the Room Prepared.

Private audition coaching helps students choose and prepare material, strengthen vocals, develop character and storytelling, work through cuts and callbacks, and walk into the audition room with a plan.

Schedule a recording session in our professional studio to submit the best version of your work to land the part you want.

Need to submit a video or vocal recording? Students also have access to DAMPA's professional in-house recording studio for audition material and special projects.

Encore Performance Company

For students ready to go further, Encore is DAMPA's advanced performance company—a small, focused ensemble for developing performers who want consistent training beyond a traditional weekly lesson.

Students work together on performance, vocals, acting, audition skills and ensemble development while receiving individualized coaching and access to unique performance opportunities.

This Isn't Just a Class. It's a Production.

Twice each year, DAMPA students have the opportunity to take everything they've learned and bring a full musical theatre production to life.

Students experience the complete process—from auditions and callbacks through rehearsals, tech and opening night—with professional direction, music direction and production support.

Always Performed With a Live Band.

Our musicals feature LIVE musicians—not prerecorded tracks—giving students the experience of listening, adapting and performing with a real band in real time.

Learn How Theatre Gets Made.

Musical Theatre
Every role. Every step. The full production experience.

Great performers understand more than their own role.

DAMPA students are encouraged to understand and participate in the larger production process—learning how directors, music directors, designers, technicians, musicians and performers work together to create a show.

They leave with more than performance experience. They learn preparation, collaboration, adaptability, professionalism and how to contribute to a creative team.
