Founded originally as Dallas Music in the early ‘80s and then purchased in 2015 by Lisa Jenkins, DAMPA offers world-class training for artists to prepare for a possible professional career.
Students are selected by audition and evaluated for their professional potential, maturity, and mental readiness to undertake the rigorous training schedule required to turn their passion into a potential profession. DAMPA students are trained, taught, and mentored to be competitive for (1) admission into the nation’s finest universities and summer programs, (2) college and summer scholarships, and (3) professional contracts. We offer tracks in Acting, Musical Theatre, Voice, Dance for the Theatre, and Music.
The DAMPA Conservatory shares studios, administration, faculty, and staff with Dallas Academy of Music and Performing Arts. It includes an education program with a flexible academic schedule that allows pre-professional and professional students to reduce the time spent on training and academics to roughly 8 hours per day as opposed to the average 12 hours, which allows the freedom to participate in professional projects, travel, and grow creatively. The academic program surpasses national standards of excellence and has been utilized by actors, musicians, and athletes worldwide.
