Welcome to Spelling Bee Summer Musical by Dallas Academy of Music and Performing Arts! Students will spend two weeks learning, rehearsing, and then performing the hit broadway comedy musical The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee!

An eclectic group of six mid-pubescents vie for the spelling championship of a lifetime. While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming "ding" of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box. A riotous ride, complete with audience participation, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a delightful den of comedic genius!

CAMP SCHEDULE

Monday through Friday, 10:00am - 3:00pm.
Performances June 20, 21, and 22.
Please bring a lunch. We have a refrigerator available for use! Water is provided on-site.

PRICING

Full two-week camp rate: $599

Audition deposit: $99. This deposit will be applied to the total tuition fee if the student accepts their role and participates in the production. If the student decides not to accept the role, the deposit will not be refunded.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If a student pays the full tuition amount and subsequently needs to withdraw from the production for any reason, a prorated portion of the tuition (not including the audition deposit) will be issued as an account credit. This credit can be applied toward future classes, lessons, or productions at Dallas Academy of Music & Performing Arts. The prorated amount will be calculated based on the number of rehearsals and time spent in the program prior to withdrawal.
