Jonathan Murphy


Jonathan Murphy was born and raised in Arlington, Texas, where his acting career began by working in local theatres around the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. After moving to Los Angeles, he went on to study at the prestigious Howard Fine Acting School, The Larry Moss Studios, Berg Studios, and in private classes with Paramount Pictures casting executive, Deborah Aquila, at the Aquila/Morong Studios. Jonathan has appeared on such prime time shows as American Dreams, Judging Amy, Without a Trace, Ghost Whisperer, Cold Case, Crossing Jordan, House M.D., Wildfire, The Comeback, NCIS: LA and garnered series regular roles co-starring with Tom Berenger and Bryan Greenberg on ABC’s October Road and acting opposite Oscar Nominee Harvey Keitel, Jason O’Mara and Primetime Emmy Winner Michael Imperioli on ABC’s Life on Mars. In notable film roles, Jonathan shared the screen with Academy Award Winner Ernest Borgnine and Golden Globe Nominee Lou Diamond Phillips in The Trail to Hope Rose, as well as with Alec Baldwin, Joel McHale, and Nikki Reed in Mini’s First Time. His production company, Hollow Tree Productions, has produced multiple short film projects, as well as the original 22-Minute reality pilot, Little Leading Ladies, and currently, the Murphy-penned and produced full-length feature, Animal Among Us, starring Larisa Oleynik, Erin Daniels, and Five-Time Daytime Emmy Winner Heather Tom is set to be released world-wide in November 2019.
