Teachers & Parents

Faculty

Our teachers have university training and/or real-world performance backgrounds, selected for extensive musical or performing-arts expertise in their discipline. The school assigns a teacher that best suits a student's needs, and you will have the same teacher each week. DAMPA accepts all students, including those with special needs or learning disabilities; however, our faculty are not specifically trained or certified to teach special-needs students under accredited modalities. The school reserves the right to substitute teachers and will notify students of changes. Request teacher changes through the Director.

Home Practice

Students are given a student notebook at their first lesson. Materials and assignments go in this notebook, which students bring to every lesson. It's very important that these notebooks are brought to each scheduled lesson. Parents are encouraged to support good practice habits, and staff and teachers collaborate if students aren't practicing.

Parent Conferences

Time during lessons can be reserved for parent-teacher conferences to discuss student progress. DAMPA may reach out to schedule a conference if an instructor feels it would benefit the student's progress. Contact the office at (833) 281-2690 to schedule.

Discontinuing Lessons

To discontinue lessons and charges to your account, please fill out the withdrawal form and return it to the front desk by the 15th day of the student's final month. Non-submission results in continued billing regardless of attendance. Refunds or prorated tuition will not be provided.
