While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives\, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words\, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing\, pout-inducing\, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box. Students will also gain hands-on experience in DAMPA’s professional recording studio\, learning how modern vocal recordings are made and building confidence both on stage and behind the microphone. \nThroughout the program\, students will have live performance opportunities\, giving them real-world experience performing for audiences while developing their artistry. At DAMPA\, we combine top-tier vocal coaching\, studio training\, and live performance experience to create a complete modern music education.
