Help a creative school run at its best
DAMPA serves students through private lessons, musical theatre, songwriting, recording, early childhood music, ensembles, and performances. As Operations Coordinator, you’ll be the primary on-site contact during our busiest lesson hours, working closely with the Owner/Director and teaching team.
The work
Help families find the right teacher, program, and schedule, and guide prospective students from their first inquiry or free trial through enrollment. Manage scheduling, cancellations, callouts, and changes; support teachers with rooms and materials; and handle routine billing, account, and policy questions.
You’ll communicate by text, email, phone, and in person, follow up on open requests and schedule gaps, and support approved outreach and school events. Your home base is our central front desk, with flexibility to move throughout the school as needed.
Who we’re looking for
Meaningful experience in music, theatre, or the performing arts is required, whether through performing, teaching, studying, production, touring, or arts administration. A specific degree is not required. Prior operations or administrative experience is highly valued.
Bring clear communication, strong organization, good judgment, and the initiative to follow issues through to resolution. You should feel comfortable supporting artists and families, be warm with children and teenagers, stay calm in sensitive conversations, and enjoy learning new technology.
Pay, benefits, and schedule
This part-time, on-site W-2 position pays $20–$23 per hour based on relevant experience, plus student enrollment bonuses. A formal performance and compensation review takes place after 90 days, with room for increased hours, pay, and responsibility as you grow.
Monday–Thursday, 3–8 p.m. (20 hours per week), is required to provide consistent coverage. Saturdays, 11 a.m.–4 p.m., are optional. The role is based at 3415 Milton Ave., Dallas, TX.
Benefits include paid DAMPA holidays and scheduled closures, paid time off and flexibility for planned time away, complimentary admission to DAMPA events, and access to practice rooms, instruments, and creative spaces when available. Employees who later meet health-plan eligibility requirements may participate under the contribution terms in effect for that plan year.
Room to grow
Become someone our families, teachers, and leadership can rely on, and help improve how the school operates. Strong judgment, initiative, and performance can lead to broader responsibility and leadership within our creative team.
