Early Childhood Music Education Instructor

Spark a lifelong love of music in our youngest students through songs, movement, and play.

Join our team

At the Dallas Academy of Music & Performing Arts, we spark a lifelong love of music in our youngest students — in a warm, playful, nurturing studio in the heart of Snider Plaza. We're looking for an Early Childhood Music instructor who lights up a room full of little ones and turns songs, movement, and play into their very first musical memories.

What you'll do

  • Design engaging, age-appropriate lessons around each child's stage and learning style
  • Track each child's progress and adapt your approach to fit them
  • Create a joyful space where creativity and confidence grow
  • Prepare students for recitals and performance moments as they're ready
  • Collaborate with our faculty and take part in school events
  • Stay current with best practices in early-childhood music education

What we're looking for

  • A bachelor's or master's in Music Education, Early Childhood Education, Performing Arts, or a related field (preferred) — early-childhood music certifications a plus
  • A strong musical foundation, with proficiency on one or more instruments or in voice
  • A gift for age-appropriate songs, activities, and play
  • Warm communication and confident, patient classroom management
  • A talent for motivating even the youngest learners
  • Willingness to complete a federal background check

Why teach at DAMPA

  • Competitive pay based on your experience and qualifications
  • Medical insurance for full-time teachers — DAMPA covers 50% of your monthly premium
  • Room to grow, with ongoing professional development
  • Beautiful, well-equipped studios and resources
  • A collaborative team that genuinely cares — about students and each other
