Mark C. Guerra is a graduate of the University of Texas at Pan American in Edinburg, TX (now UT-Rio Grande Valley) with a degree in Theatre Performance/Design. Mark moved to Dallas two days after he graduated college to begin his internship at Theatre Three in May of 2006. After completion of the internship, Mark remained on at Theatre Three full-time as Intern Supervisor until the Summer of 2009. Mark has been seen onstage at Theatre Three, Risk Theater Initiative, Mesquite Community Theater, Pegasus Theater, and has also directed for Mesquite Community Theater, Rover Dramawerks, Nouveau 47.
After Theatre Three, Mark entered the educational theatre field where he served as a Theatre Director for 5 years in Grand Prairie ISD and is about to begin his second year directing at Lakehill Preparatory School in Lakewood. For the past 6 seasons, Mark has been the Associate Director for JESTERS, a theatre performing group at the Highland Park United Methodist Church for adults (16 to 66 years old) with Downs Syndrome, Autism, various other mental disabilities.
In February of 2015, Mark, along with his co-producer Lynn Ambrose, founded the Musical Theatre Academy at Theatre Three where they have had two successful seasons of shows including favorites such as Les Misérables, The Wizard Of Oz, Beauty and the Beast and Hairspray! Bringing theatre to our youth and special needs community continues to be one of Mark’s deepest passions.
